Day six: Something to aspire to.
I have always admired my fellow knitters that have designed their own pieces. I would love to one day write my own patterns, especially lace shawl patterns. I understand the construction of lace shawls and socks since I’ve knit enough and I can comfortably change patterns while I knit them to suit my needs. However I never seem to be able to make that leap into design. This past Christmas Scott gave me the set of Barbara Walker stitch dictionaries, with these maybe I will finally test the waters with designing.

you should experiment and see what you come up with, or even just try modifying an existing pattern using a new stitch, and see what you think. :)
