What was it about that night...

I’ve been MIA again, I am sorry. I finished Harry Potter quite a while ago, in fact it was Harry’s story came to end for me on Sunday July 22, 2007. However that will be another blog post.

Tonight, August 4, my dear sweet loving hubby took me to see Rent, my all time favorite show, even though we have already seen this show twice. What was so special about this performance was that Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp were performing. For those of you who may not be familiar with Rent, both these talented men originated the roles of Roger and Mark, respectively. Adam Pascal is my favorite singer/performer/Broadway star; while my hubby and I were dating we saw Aida expecting to see Mr. Pascal as Radames. However, for some reason he was not at that performance and I was quite disappointed. When my hubby, by chance, saw that both Mr. Pascal and Mr. Rapp were going to be performing in Rent he bought tickets as a present for our one-year wedding anniversary. Not only were these tickets to see this show with these amazing men performing, these tickets were fifth row!

We have never sat this close to a show before. I couldn’t believe it; I was able to see everyone in such detail. I was able to be drawn in with their emotion, laugh at their amusement and cry along with their sorrow. Mr. Pascal’s eyes were deep blue, sparkling while singing. His smile lit up his face and his voice sent chills down my spine. For me, there is no one that can play Roger better than Mr. Pascal. I am truly smitten.

Mr. Rapp was also amazing. The song “What you Own” was the most amazing bit of Broadway that I have even seen. Those two voices were meant for that moment in the show.

There is no day but today.

Just want to let you know that I got your socks mailed out to you tonight. I'm sorry I'm a little late in getting them sent...I've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off (life getting in the way). But, I sent them airmail so you should get them a lot quicker than had I sent them ground. I hope you'll like them and that they fit fine.
